George Willis
George Willis is an Experienced Senior Executive with over 36 years of expertise in logistics and transportation. Currently serving on the Huber Corporate Board of Directors, George brings a proven track record of leading major operations and strategic initiatives.
During his extensive career at UPS, George advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, culminating as President of US Operations. In this capacity, he directed package delivery services and UPS Airlines, managing a workforce of 367,000 employees and contributing to UPS’s long-term strategy and execution as part of the Executive Leadership Team.
George also held leadership positions as President of UPS’s West Region and the UK, Ireland, and Nordics Region, overseeing vast geographical operations and delivering strategic results. His leadership of The UPS Store® franchise network further honed his ability to drive business development and operational strategy on a large scale.
His logistical career initially began with the US Marine Corps Reserves, where he managed warehousing operations. This foundation greatly influenced his ability to innovate and efficiently manage complex logistical networks.
In addition to his work at Huber, his contributions to the governance as a former board member of Atlas Air Worldwide and a current board member of Vulcan Materials Company are noted. His career is driven by a commitment to excellence, strategic vision, and the advancement of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) principles.
George attended Morehouse College, Trinity College, where he received a B.A. in Management, the Columbia Executive Education Program and the Yale CEO College Program.
