William “Bill” Harvey brings over 40 years of global business leadership and experience in the packaging and polymers, and advanced fibers industries to the Management Board of Huber Engineered Woods LLC (HEW), which he joined in February 2020.

Harvey currently sits on the Board of Directors of Kennametal, Inc., a leading supplier of tooling and industrial materials for the aerospace, earthworks, energy, general engineering and transportation industries. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Delrin Company, a highly differentiated international homopolymer business, and Origin Materials Inc., a producer of carbon-negative ingredients for use in food and beverage packaging, industrial and apparel textiles, automotive parts, insulating foams and other applications.

Harvey was previously President of DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers, a multi-billion-dollar global operating unit of E.I. DuPont. During his seven years as President, Harvey significantly improved revenue and earnings growth of the business unit. He was a member of the negotiating team for the merger between DuPont and Dow Chemical. He was also a member of DuPont’s executive Operating Team.

Previously, Harvey held roles of increasing responsibility at DuPont. As Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Planning, he led a strategic portfolio analysis of the company. While serving as Vice President of Corporate Operations, his oversight included corporate governance and interfacing with the Board of Directors. Prior to this, he was President of DuPont Advanced Fiber Systems and DuPont Personal Protection, where he redefined the business unit’s business model and drove significant improvements in revenue growth, margins and bottom-line profitability.

Earlier in his career, Harvey left DuPont for four years to become General Manager of the Peroxygen Chemicals Division of FMC Corporation, where he successfully led its transformation from a largely commodity business focused on the pulp and paper industries to a high value-added business centered on specialty chemicals in diverse markets. He began his career in sales, marketing and product development roles with DuPont.

Harvey holds a BS in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business, where he is an honorary visiting lecturer.
